Hospice of the Valley is Arizona’s original hospice, founded by a small group of volunteers in 1977. As the leading provider of hospice care in Maricopa and northern Pinal counties, and one of the largest not-for-profit hospices in the country, we cared for more than 19,000 patients and their families last year. Our agency has stayed true to its mission of comfort, dignity and compassionate care for our community. We provide full spectrum care —innovative palliative programs for those with chronic disease, support for those at all stages of dementia and pediatric palliative home care for medically fragile children. We have turned no one away in 43 years, regardless of insurance or financial means. We are honored to have more than 2,000 volunteers supporting our patients through numerous programs, including pet and music therapy, Shabbat Blessings, 11th Hour Companion, Saluting Our Veterans and Honoring First Responders. Hospice of the Valley offers a myriad of no-cost community programs for all, including grief support, senior placement service and healthcare decision planning.
